About the role

We are a well-established and respected Electrical company located in one of the most beautiful

parts of New Zealand. We offer a wide variety of work and a hands-on training approach to becoming a widely skilled electrician. From domestic to rural and industrial, no two days are the same. You’ll learn and develop skills that can take you anywhere for a brighter future.

Our friendly and dedicated team is like a family, we work hard to deliver reliable and efficient service and, on occasion, ride dirt bikes together after hours, attend milestone events, and cover each other's absences. Our knowledgeable staff all work incredibly well both independently and as a team. We care about our staff, assisting them to grow and develop new skills. We believe if you get on well off the field, you'll be the best team on the field.

Here’s what we require from you:

• Fully qualified and experienced electrician with current NZ EWRB registration and license
• Full and current NZ Drivers License
• Highly motivated, hard-working, good time management, eye for detail and honest
• Good written and spoken English
• An understanding of who you are, your strengths and weaknesses
• Physically fit - able to lift, carry and install electrical equipment such as pumps and motors and fit into confined spaces
• Prepared to undergo police vetting and pass
• Current first aid training
• Must be a New Zealand citizen or have the right to live, work and practice in New Zealand
• Experience in domestic installations and repairs

The owner of Added Energy was a very close second in the national apprenticeship competition before becoming qualified. He has subsequently trained two winners of this competition. He has personally gone on to train ten apprentices who have all continued successfully into their electrical careers, four of which own their businesses now. He is a widely recognised, experienced electrician with a proven track record of delivering high-quality installations, services and repairs in various settings.
